Galileo Romps in Season Opener

Lions Look Fast & Ferocious Early

On their first offensive play of the 2018 season, the Galileo Lions flashed their big play potential with a 60-yard run-the scary part is that it didn’t come from the legs of junior RB, Yarvell Smith nor senior QB, Ronald Fox but that of senior slot receiver, Michael Duran. After a miss-tackle in the backfield by a Hoopa Valley defender, Duran flew up the Galileo sideline behind key blocks in three different levels from Jimmie Edwards, Mikah Coleman and Smith. Outstanding defensive player, Edwards was the man however with 3 rushing TD’s and 1 TD on a defensive play in which he recorded a sack, fumble caused and recovered for a score. Smith and senior wide out, Reese Bickart contributed a score each.
