Congratulations to Galileo’s first team all-city lettermen led by second year all-city running back & linebacker, Ronzel Fox. Arguably the most electrifying and best running back in the city, Fox rushed for 1113 yards in 137 attempts with 18 receptions for 292 yards to tally 14 touchdowns on the ground and 2 in the air. Fox also led the Lions with 150 tackles for the season (13.6 per game), had 2 interceptions, defended 4 passes, caused 4 fumbles and ran 1 back for a touchdown. The lone senior in the group, Nestor Acosta, led all Galileo defensive linemen with 5 tackles for a loss and totaled 63 tackles. More importantly, Acosta provided leadership and inspiration that does not go into any stat sheet. Kyle Nelson amassed 1204 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and rushed for 180 yards and 3 scores. Dontell Jackson ran for  555 yards on 89 attempts, had 19 receptions for 174 yards, and scored 7 touchdowns; 5 on the ground, 1 pick-6, 1 kick off return. On defense, Jackson tallied 45 tackles, 2 interceptions, and a team-high 7 pass defends. A special recognition for junior defensive end & tight end, Isaac Armstrong, who should have been first team all-city as well but was placed on the second team. Armstrong was by far the best tight end in the city this season; he caught 24 balls for 398 yards and scored 3 times along with 2 2-point receptions. Defensively, Armstrong had 100 tackles, 3 for a loss, a team-high 5 sacks, 7 hurries, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovered, 1 fumble caused, and 4 pass defends.
