The youthful Galileo varsity lions finished league play with a 1–5 record. With a mixture of academic issues, injuries, and behavior suspensions, the Lions could not find any sort of constancy throughout the season. After beating Burton for their first win, Galileo was in the driving seat for a playoff spot but narrow losses to Washington and then Lowell in overtime, sealed their fate.

2015 GLF Awards

The Galileo Lions Football Program have awards for 3 different categories; summer awards, weekly awards during the season, and the end of the fall season awards. Varsity players are awarded helmet stickers after each game. All awards are not for personal glory but to recognize a player’s dedication and hard-work.

Even in the last week of the season, the Varsity Lions continued to struggle with off-the-field issues. Continuing the trend of injuries and/or suspensions, three starters were suspended for this game. The good news was the return of senior lineman, Jason Yu who had a knee issue all season but persevered to get healthy enough to play this one game in his final season.
